The SEALOCK SL-K041 straddles the top tube with a compartment hanging on each side and the phone sitting on top. That arrangement is the whole point: a single-sided frame bag pulls the bike toward one side and moves under load, while a balanced pair sits centred over the frame and stays where you put it.
The shell is moulded EVA, not fabric. It holds its shape empty, resists crushing when the bike goes down or gets loaded into a car, and keeps the phone compartment rigid so a screen is never pressed against a hard object inside. Two zippered side pockets take tools, tubes, snacks, and a multitool; the top compartment holds a phone behind a transparent touch window with a flip-over rain flap.
Three hook-and-loop straps mount it to any frame in under a minute with no tools and no permanent hardware. At 250 grams, the SL-K041 suits commuting, road riding, gravel, touring, and delivery work — anywhere navigation needs to be visible and small essentials need to be reachable without stopping.
Most top tube bags mount on one side of the frame or sit as a single wedge behind the stem. Both create the same problem: an asymmetric mass on a machine where the rider is constantly making small balance corrections. Loaded with a multitool and a tube, a one-sided bag is noticeable in the first few kilometres and irritating by the end of a long ride. It also tends to rotate around the tube under vibration, ending up rubbing a crank arm or a knee.
The SL-K041 splits the load across two compartments that hang either side of the top tube, with the mass centred directly over the frame's centreline. The bag cannot rotate because it is not sitting on the tube — it is straddling it, held by the tube itself. That geometry does more for stability than any strap tension can.
It also puts the weight in the best available place on a bicycle. Load carried low and central on the frame has the least effect on handling; the same weight in a saddlebag or a bar bag changes how the bike steers and how it feels out of the saddle.
Moulded EVA costs more than a stitched fabric body and adds a little weight. On a bag that carries a phone on a bicycle, it earns both.
A soft frame bag collapses around its contents. That means a phone screen resting directly against a multitool, a tube valve, or a set of keys, with road vibration working on the contact point for the length of the ride. It also means the bag deforms when the bike is leaned against a wall, laid down, or wedged into a car boot — and whatever is inside takes the load.
The EVA shell holds a fixed internal volume regardless of what is in it. Contents cannot press against each other, the phone compartment stays rigid and flat, and a fall that puts the bike on its side puts the impact into the shell rather than into the screen. For a bag whose main cargo is a device worth more than the bicycle it is mounted to, that is the correct engineering priority.
The top compartment holds a phone behind a transparent touch-transmissive film, angled toward the rider so a navigation screen is readable in the riding position without taking a hand off the bars.
A flip-over flap covers the window when the phone is not in use. This is the part riders appreciate on a wet commute — it keeps rain off the film so the screen stays readable and the touch layer stays responsive, and it shades the display in direct sun. It also protects the film itself, which is the component most likely to scuff and cloud over a season of use.
Two things worth passing to end users. Face ID and fingerprint sensors generally will not read through the film, so the phone should be unlocked before it goes in. And touch response drops when the film is wet — wiping it dry restores it, which is precisely what the flap is there to avoid needing.

We manufacture welded, IPX-rated waterproof gear, so it is worth being precise about this product. The SL-K041 is a stitched bag in a water-repellent coated fabric over an EVA shell, closed with conventional zippers. It handles rain, road spray, and a wet commute. It is not sealed and it is not immersion-rated.
That is the right specification for a bicycle. A welded waterproof body cannot be moulded to this shape, cannot hold a rigid form, and would add weight and cost to solve a problem most riders do not have — a frame bag is exposed to rain from above, not submersion. The rain flap over the phone window and the repellent shell together cover the realistic exposure.
For riders in genuinely severe conditions, or where a phone must stay dry with certainty, a dedicated waterproof phone pouch inside the compartment is the practical answer, and we make those. Specifying this bag for immersion produces returns; specifying it for the weather it was built for does not.
