Product Description

This is a roll-top motorcycle dry bag in two sizes: SL-C712 holds 55 liters and measures 60 × 28 × 28 cm rolled, and SL-C716 holds 68 liters and measures 60 × 32 × 35 cm rolled, weighing 1.50 kg. Unrolled, the opening rises to about 54 cm. Both sizes are made from 500D PVC tarpaulin with high-frequency welded seams, in yellow over a black lower body. The roll-top closes with side-release buckles at both ends. One face carries a V-shaped grid PVC panel with a one-way air purge valve, so trapped air can be pressed out before the top is rolled down. The opposite face has a clear welded ID window for a name card or route sheet. Reflective chevrons sit at both ends of each face. Inside, a 35 × 28 cm zippered pouch keeps small dry items apart from wet gear in the main compartment. Twin webbing handles with a padded wrap are anchored on welded plates, and a detachable shoulder strap with a 25.5 × 9 cm wide pad clips to the end loops. Each bag ships with a set of four buckle straps for securing it across a pillion seat or a luggage rack.

Construction and Water Behaviour

The body seams are high-frequency welded, so there are no stitch holes or seam tape along the base or the end panels. The handle plates, strap anchors, ID window and purge valve are all welded into the wall rather than sewn through it. On a motorcycle this matters more than on most bags: at highway speed, rain is driven at the bag rather than falling on it, and water finds needle holes that would stay dry in a light shower.

The rating is IPX6, verified by heavy rain and water-jet testing on finished bags. With the top rolled at least three times and both buckles closed, the main compartment stays dry through a full day of riding in heavy rain. The bag is not built to be submerged; a roll-top seals by folding, not by compression, and the purge valve is designed to let air out, not to hold water pressure. For river crossings or boat use, pack electronics and documents in the inner pouch or a separate dry pouch.

Wet-Dry Separation

The zippered inner pouch is the reason riders choose this bag over a plain roll-top. Wet rain gear, a damp towel or muddy gloves go into the main compartment; phone chargers, wallet, passport and spare socks go into the 35 × 28 cm pouch, where they stay out of any condensation or water carried in on wet gear. At a stop, the pouch is the first thing you reach after unrolling the top.

Mounting and Carrying

The four supplied buckle straps pass through the anchor plates and wrap around the pillion seat, grab rails or a rear rack. The flat 60 cm length suits most rear seats and sits crosswise behind the rider without overhanging the panniers. Off the bike, the bag carries as a duffel by the twin handles or over one shoulder on the detachable wide-pad strap. The reflective chevrons face rearward when mounted crosswise, adding visibility to the rear of the motorcycle at night.

Recommended Use

Motorcycle touring with the bag strapped crosswise to the pillion seat or rack, adventure riding, scooter commuting with luggage, camping trips by car or bike, and boating where the bag stays on deck. Suitable for clothing, camping gear and wet rain gear; keep electronics and documents in the inner pouch. Not intended for submersion.

Quality Inspection Standards

Every production run is checked at IQC, IPQC and OQC. The suite covers load testing to 1,500 cycles, static pull testing on handles and mounting anchors to 200 kg, tensile and bonding strength on welded seams and anchor plates, salt-spray on metal snap hooks, abrasion on the base, colour fastness and colour difference against the approved sample, reflective trim adhesion, and heavy rain and water-jet testing on finished bags. Third-party inspection by SGS or QIMA can be arranged at the buyer's cost.

Product Highlights

Two capacities, 55 L and 68 L, on the same 60 cm footprint for a standard motorcycle rear seat. High-frequency welded body with welded anchor plates, ID window and purge valve, so no stitching runs through the waterproof wall. Zippered 35 × 28 cm inner pouch that separates dry essentials from wet gear. Purge valve for pressing out air before rolling. Reflective chevrons on both faces. Four mounting straps, detachable wide-pad shoulder strap and padded twin handles supplied as standard. MOQ 300 with Pantone matching.

Printing and Logo

Screen printing suits large, solid marks on PVC tarpaulin and holds up to UV and road grime. Heat transfer handles multi-colour artwork and fine text. Reflective printing can put a logo or model name into the rear-facing visibility area. Welded PVC patches give a raised, tonal mark. Logos are placed clear of the roll-top fold zone so the print does not crack with repeated rolling. Artwork is required as vector files; a digital placement proof is returned before sampling.

OEM / ODM Capability

Sealock has manufactured waterproof bags for over 20 years, with factories in Guangdong, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — the second site giving brands a non-China origin option where tariff exposure matters. We hold ISO 9001, BSCI, SMETA, Higg, GRS and SCAN certification.

The bag body is high-frequency welded, while the shoulder strap pad, handle wrap and mounting strap kit are sewn, and sewn construction is an equally mature in-house capability rather than an outsourced step. Most demanding requirements can be met, from a colourway and logo change to new capacities, a different mounting system or a full redesign for a specific motorcycle platform; complex development with new patterns adds time to the first sample cycle, which is worth planning for early.

FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity?

300 pieces per colour. The 55 L and 68 L sizes can be combined on one order where each size reaches 150.

What does it cost?

Price depends on size, quantity, fabric weight, fittings and logo method. Send your quantities and specification to info@sealock.com.hk and we will quote within one working day.

Can we put our own logo on it?

Yes. Screen print, heat transfer, welded patch and reflective print are available, with Pantone matching on body and webbing. Artwork should be supplied as vector files.

What fits in a 55L motorcycle dry bag?

A 55 L bag holds clothing for two to three days, a rain suit, toiletries and a light sleeping bag. The 68 L size adds room for a compact tent or cooking kit on a longer tour.

Is it fully waterproof?

It is rated IPX6: with the top rolled at least three times and buckled, it stays dry through heavy rain while riding. It is not submersible. Keep electronics and documents in the inner pouch.

How does it attach to a motorcycle?

Four buckle straps are supplied. They pass through the welded anchor plates and wrap around the pillion seat, grab rails or a rear rack, holding the bag crosswise behind the rider.

What does the 200 kg rating mean?

It is the static pull test applied to the handles and mounting anchors during inspection. It shows how securely the anchors are welded in, not how much the bag should carry. We recommend loads up to 20 kg.

What is the valve on the front for?

It is a one-way purge valve. Press the bag before rolling the top to push out trapped air, so the bag packs flatter and sits lower on the seat.

Can the inner pouch hold wet items?

The pouch is meant for dry essentials. Put wet gear in the main compartment and keep the pouch for items that must stay dry.

What is the lead time?

Samples in 7–15 days. Production is 30–35 days after sample approval, from either the China or the Vietnam factory.
