The selection and packing of travel outdoor backpacks

Mountain climbing, camping, picnics... these are all outdoor travel activities that people love very much in spring. Since you are going out, of course you have to carry a lot of necessary items, so a backpack becomes a must. In addition to the basic functions of loading and freeing your hands, a good outdoor backpack can also maintain body balance and make the journey safer and more comfortable. What's more, it can make the user look more fashionable and have the effect of pleasing the mood.

So how should we choose and use outdoor travel backpacks? According to experts, backpacks are currently mainly made of two materials: nylon and CORDURA. The latter is actually a synthetic nylon cloth that has all the advantages of nylon and is more wear-resistant, but slightly heavier. After selecting the material, determine the capacity. Generally speaking, outdoor backpacks with a capacity of more than 50 liters will adopt an "elastic capacity" design, so that the backpack can still be tied tightly even after long-term activities, which also makes this backpack suitable for different activities. However, small and medium-sized backpacks below 50 liters do not need this design.

The important factor that determines the comfort of the backpack is its carrying system. The main function of the carrying system is to distribute the weight reasonably to various parts of the body to avoid the weight being concentrated on the shoulders. In addition, it also provides the adjustment of the carrying center of gravity to increase the balance and safety during action. Medium and large backpacks usually form a carrying system with a back frame as the center, and the back frame can be divided into two types: external frame and internal frame.

The external frame backpack is a backpack fixed on a hard frame (commonly aluminum alloy), with tightened nylon shoulder straps and hip straps. Its characteristic is that the center of gravity is high, about at or above the shoulder. The high center of gravity design is suitable for carrying on flat roads, not suitable for occasions that require high balance. The advantages are that it is easy to load and take items, and the weight can be shared by the shoulders and hips, and the back has good ventilation.

The internal frame backpack has no obvious frame on the outside, usually with detachable or hidden side bags, and the appearance is relatively narrow and long, so this type of backpack is usually called an "upright backpack". The upright backpack has an aluminum frame built into it, and a hip strap can transfer part of the weight to the hips. The characteristic is that the center of gravity is slightly lower and can be adjusted between the shoulder and the hip. It is suitable for climbing occasions where balance needs to be maintained, and it can prevent the backpack from shaking at the height of the shoulder.

After choosing a backpack, how to fill it is also a science. Poor filling will affect the convenience and comfort of use, or cause the center of gravity to shift and damage the backpack. Therefore, when filling the backpack, in addition to classifying various items according to their uses, you should also pay attention to the following principles:

1. Put the heavier items in the upper middle part and as close to the back as possible, so that the center of gravity is close to the back to avoid the feeling of being pulled back. Large and light items can be placed at the bottom, which does not affect the center of gravity; in addition, because the heavy objects are pressed on it, the backpack will be denser after a period of use.

2. Do not put hard objects on the back, otherwise it will directly hit the back and make you uncomfortable or even hurt your back when you fall, or because the hard objects are separated from the back frame by only one layer of backpack cloth, it is easy to wear out the backpack cloth.

3. The weight of the items placed on the left and right sides of the backpack should be similar to avoid the center of gravity shifting. Raincoats, drinking water and things used on the day should be placed on top or in an easily accessible place.

4. Have the concept of using bags for classifying items. Put similar items or items used at the same time in the same bag for easy access, especially small items that are scattered low.

5. Develop the habit of placing items at fixed points, which will not only make it faster to organize the backpack, but also allow you to find what you want in the dark.

6. Try to change the way of filling and minimize unnecessary hanging outside the backpack, which will not only affect the safety of action but also be unsightly.
