Product Detail

SL-E1314 is an 8 L single-shoulder sling backpack measuring 37.5 cm high, tapering from 25 cm wide at the top to 15 cm at the base and from 12.5 cm to 10 cm in depth. Empty weight is 0.65 kg. The body is a TPU-laminated fabric with a fine textured surface, and all body seams are high-frequency welded rather than stitched and taped. Two YKK waterproof zips open the bag: a curved zip across the top for the main compartment and a vertical zip down the front panel for a flat secondary compartment. Inside the main compartment, a mesh divider runs along the back wall for flat items. The front panel carries two adjustable webbing straps with UTX side-release buckles and D-rings for lashing a jacket or a light tripod; one side has an open mesh pocket for a bottle, and moulded lash tabs are welded onto the side and lower panels. The single sling strap is wide and padded, runs diagonally across the body, and is fitted with an adjustable stabiliser strap and UTX buckle; the back panel is padded and faced with spacer mesh. Standard colours are mint green and khaki, with the Sealock logo applied as a raised print on the front panel.

Construction and Water Behaviour

The shell seams are high-frequency welded, so the fabric on either side is fused into a single layer with no needle holes and no seam tape to peel with age. Attachment points — the lash tabs, the D-ring patches and the strap anchors — are welded on as separate reinforcing patches rather than stitched through the waterproof wall, which is what keeps a bag with this many external fittings dry.

The closures are YKK waterproof zips, which are water-resistant rather than airtight: they keep out rain, spray and splash, but they are not a submersion seal. The rating for this bag is IPX6 — heavy rain and directed water jets — and it should not be dunked or left floating. The side mesh pocket is open by design and drains freely, so a wet bottle does not sit against the body. Buyers needing a genuinely submersible sling should specify the airtight-zip construction, which we build on other platforms and quote separately.

Carrying and Layout

The sling strap is a single wide padded band worn across the body, and the bag is designed to be swung around to the front for access without taking it off — the reason a sling suits cycling, transit and photography better than a two-strap daypack does. The stabiliser strap clips across the ribs to stop the bag riding up when the wearer leans forward, and it releases with one hand on the UTX buckle. The spacer-mesh back panel keeps the padded face off the shirt, which matters on a bag worn against one shoulder for a full day.

The layout separates wet-side and dry-side items. The main compartment takes the bulk of the load, with the internal mesh divider holding a tablet, a document wallet or a folded layer flat against the back wall. The front zip compartment is shallow and made for items needed quickly — wallet, keys, a phone in a case. The external mesh pocket takes a bottle without occupying either compartment.

Recommended Use

Commuting and cycling in wet weather, day hiking, photography walks, travel as a personal item, paddleboarding and boating where the bag stays on deck rather than in the water, and everyday carry for people who want one-strap access. Suitable for phones, tablets, documents and layers in rain and spray. Not intended for submersion or for carrying items that must survive a capsize.

Quality Inspection Standards

Every production run is checked at IQC, IPQC and OQC. The suite covers load testing to 1,500 cycles at rated weight, zipper fatigue to 3,000 cycles, tensile and bonding strength on welded seams and attachment patches, buckle pull and release testing, salt-spray on hardware, abrasion on the base panel, colour fastness and colour difference against the approved sample, and rain and water-jet testing on finished bags. Third-party inspection by SGS or QIMA can be arranged at the buyer's cost.

Product Highlights

Welded body seams with no stitch holes through the waterproof wall, and welded reinforcing patches under every external fitting. YKK waterproof zips and UTX buckles as standard specification rather than unbranded substitutes. Two separate compartments plus an internal mesh divider, so wet-side and dry-side items stay apart. Spacer-mesh back panel and padded sling strap for all-day one-shoulder wear. Stabiliser strap that keeps the bag in place when the wearer leans forward. MOQ 300 with Pantone matching across body, webbing and hardware.

Printing and Logo

The standard mark is a raised silicone print with a soft, slightly proud texture, which reads as a premium finish in hand and survives repeated wetting and folding better than a flat ink print. Screen printing, heat transfer, welded patches and woven labels are also available; woven labels and embroidery are applied to sewn components such as the strap and back panel, never through the welded waterproof body. Artwork is required as vector files; a digital placement proof is returned before sampling.

OEM / ODM Capability

Sealock has manufactured waterproof bags for over 20 years, with factories in Guangdong, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — the second site giving brands a non-China origin option where tariff exposure matters. We hold ISO 9001, BSCI, SMETA, Higg, GRS and SCAN certification.

This bag uses both of our core processes: the waterproof shell is high-frequency welded, while the padded strap, back panel and mesh components are sewn. Sewn construction is an equally mature in-house discipline here, not a subcontracted add-on, and on a product like this the combination is what makes it both waterproof and comfortable. Most demanding requirements can be met, from a colourway and logo change to a new capacity or a different closure system; development with new patterns adds 20–25 days to the first sample cycle, which is worth planning for early.

FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity?

300 pieces per colour. Mint green and khaki can be combined on one purchase order where each colour reaches 300.

What does it cost?

Price depends on quantity, fabric, hardware specification and logo method. Send your target quantity and specification to info@sealock.com.hk and we will quote within one working day.

Can we put our own logo on it?

Yes. The standard raised silicone print can be made in your own artwork, and screen print, heat transfer, welded patches and woven labels are all available. Pantone matching covers body, webbing and hardware.

How waterproof is it?

IPX6 — it handles heavy rain, spray and water jets with the zips closed. It is not submersible, and the side mesh pocket is open by design. For a submersible version, specify the airtight-zip upgrade.

Are the zips and buckles branded components?

Yes. YKK waterproof zips and UTX buckles are the standard specification on this model, not an upgrade.

Can it be worn on either shoulder?

Yes. The strap adjusts for left or right shoulder wear, and the stabiliser strap can be repositioned accordingly.

Will a tablet fit?

The internal mesh divider on the back wall of the main compartment holds a tablet up to roughly 11 inches flat against the back. A padded sleeve can be specified in place of the mesh divider on OEM orders.

Can the capacity be changed?

Yes. The pattern can be scaled to other capacities, and interior configurations can be redesigned. New patterns add 20–25 days to the first sample.

How should the zips be maintained?

Rinse off salt and sand after use and lubricate the zip teeth with a silicone-based stick occasionally. Grit in the teeth is the main cause of stiff operation and of leaks after a season of coastal use.

What is the lead time?

Samples in 7–15 days. Production is 30–35 days after sample approval, from either the China or the Vietnam factory.
