Product Description

SL-I118 is a 2-in-1 cooler backpack: a 30 L waterproof backpack with a removable 12 L soft cooler insert. The backpack measures about 32 × 20 × 50 cm and weighs about 1.8 kg with the insert fitted. The outer shell is charcoal TPU-laminated nylon with high-frequency welded seams, and it opens through a waterproof zip that runs around the lid. The lid carries its own zip pocket and a top grab handle. Inside sits the cooler insert, a separate welded TPU box with closed-cell foam walls, a food-grade liner, its own top zip and two webbing carry handles, holding about 18 standard 330 ml cans without ice. Both sides of the backpack carry a blue webbing grab loop on a welded patch and a mesh pocket. The harness has padded shoulder straps, a ventilated mesh back panel, a sternum strap and a waist strap.

Two Bags in One

With the insert fitted, SL-I118 is a backpack cooler: drinks and food stay cold in the insert while the backpack carries the load on both shoulders. Lift the insert out by its handles and it becomes a stand-alone soft cooler for the picnic blanket, the boat or the car, while the backpack becomes a 30 L waterproof dry backpack for clothing, towels and gear. One product covers a beach day, a hike and an overnight trip, and the insert can be cleaned or dried separately without getting the backpack wet.

Construction and Water Behaviour

The outer shell is high-frequency welded, and the side grab loops, pocket frames and harness anchors are welded onto the body rather than stitched through it. The cooler insert is welded as its own sealed box, so melt-water stays inside the insert and never reaches the backpack.

The backpack is rated IPX6, verified by heavy rain and water-jet testing on finished bags. With the lid zip closed, it stays dry in heavy rain and spray on a boat or paddleboard. It is not built to be submerged. The cooler insert is leakproof when upright with its zip closed. The side mesh pockets sit outside the waterproof shell and drain freely.

Cold Holding

Packed with ice and closed inside the backpack, out of direct sun, the insert holds ice for approximately 24 hours in our trials at 25 °C ambient. The backpack shell adds a layer of shade and still air around the insert. Results change with ambient temperature, sun exposure, how often the cooler is opened and whether the contents were chilled before loading.

Quality Inspection Standards

Every production run is checked at IQC, IPQC and OQC. The suite covers load testing to 1,500 cycles, zipper fatigue to 3,000 cycles, tensile and bonding strength on welded seams and harness anchors, leak testing on the cooler insert, seam strength on the sewn harness, buckle pull and release testing, colour fastness and colour difference against the approved sample, and heavy rain and water-jet testing on finished backpacks. Third-party inspection by SGS or QIMA can be arranged at the buyer's cost.

Product Highlights

A 30 L waterproof backpack and a 12 L soft cooler in one product. Removable insert with its own zip and handles, for use inside the backpack or on its own. High-frequency welded TPU shell, IPX6, with a welded leakproof insert. Lid zip pocket, two side mesh pockets and side grab loops. Padded harness with ventilated back panel, sternum strap and waist strap. MOQ 300 with Pantone matching.

Printing and Logo

Screen printing suits solid one- to three-colour marks on TPU and resists UV and salt. Heat transfer handles multi-colour artwork. Welded TPU patches and raised silicone prints give a tonal, textured mark. The insert can carry its own logo for use as a stand-alone cooler. Accent webbing and liner colours can be matched to the brand. Artwork is required as vector files; a digital placement proof is returned before sampling.

OEM / ODM Capability

Sealock has manufactured insulated and waterproof gear for over 20 years, with factories in Guangdong, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — the second site giving brands a non-China origin option where tariff exposure matters. We hold ISO 9001, BSCI, SMETA, Higg, GRS and SCAN certification, and produce insulated products for brands including STANLEY, Hydro Flask and CORDOVA.

The backpack shell and the cooler insert are both high-frequency welded, while the harness and padding are sewn, and sewn construction is an equally mature in-house capability rather than an outsourced step. Most demanding requirements can be met, from a colour and logo change to a different backpack and insert combination, an airtight zip or a full redesign; complex development with new tooling adds time to the first sample cycle, which is worth planning for early.

FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity?

300 pieces per colour.

What does it cost?

Price depends on quantity, insulation, closure, harness options and logo method. Send your specification to info@sealock.com.hk and we will quote within one working day.

Can we put our own logo on it?

Yes. Screen print, heat transfer, welded patches and raised silicone prints are available on the backpack and on the insert.

Can the cooler insert be used on its own?

Yes. It has its own zip and two carry handles, so it works as a stand-alone soft cooler when lifted out of the backpack.

What can I carry when the insert is removed?

The backpack becomes a 30 L waterproof dry backpack for clothing, towels, layers and gear.

Is it waterproof?

The backpack is rated IPX6: with the lid zip closed, it stays dry in heavy rain and spray. It is not submersible. The insert is leakproof when upright.

How many cans does the insert hold?

About 18 standard 330 ml cans without ice, or about 12 with ice.

How long does ice last?

Approximately 24 hours in our trials at 25 °C ambient, with the insert closed inside the backpack and out of direct sun.

How do I clean it?

Lift the insert out, wipe the liner with warm water and mild detergent, and leave both the insert and the backpack open to dry.

What is the lead time?

Samples in 7–15 days. Production is 30–35 days after sample approval, from either the China or the Vietnam factory.
