The Base Product

SL-I075A is a 22 L backpack cooler measuring 33 × 24.5 × 51 cm and weighing about 1.9 kg, with a TPU-laminated nylon shell, 20 mm closed-cell foam and a food-grade TPU liner high-frequency welded into a single leakproof tub. The main compartment closes with an airtight waterproof zip and is rated IPX7. The standard version carries a lid zip pouch, two side mesh pockets, front shock cord, a bottle opener, and a harness with padded shoulder straps, sternum strap and hip belt. It is produced in aqua, yellow and blue. Every element of this specification can be changed for a brand programme, from the colour and logo up to a new size or a different harness. Full product details are on the standard SL-I075A product page.

What Can Be Customized

Colour

Shell, liner, webbing, shock cord, zip tape and bar-tack thread can each be matched to Pantone references. Two-tone shells, such as a contrast base band or lid, are possible on the same pattern. Colour lab dips are supplied for approval before the sample is made.

Logo and Branding

The front panel takes the main mark, and secondary marks can go on the lid, the shoulder straps, the hip belt or the side panels. Methods are compared in the table below. Woven labels and embroidery are placed on sewn parts only, never through the welded cooler body, so the waterproof shell is not compromised.

Liner Print

The food-grade TPU liner can carry an all-over pattern, logo repeat or monogram, printed before the liner is welded. It is the first thing the user sees when the cooler opens, and it is a strong branding surface for retail and gift programmes.

Size

The standard pattern is 22 L. Smaller and larger versions can be developed on the same design language, for example a compact daypack cooler or a larger version for groups. New sizes require new tooling and add time to the first sample.

Insulation

The standard is 20 mm closed-cell foam. Options include 30 mm closed-cell foam, high-density PU foam, and VIP vacuum panels where a longer hold time is needed within the same outer dimensions. Thermal profiles can be run to your own test protocol and supplied with the sample.

Harness and Carry

The harness can be specified with a ventilated mesh back panel, a wider padded hip belt, load lifters or a simplified strap set for lighter use. A top grab handle, side handles or a detachable shoulder strap can be added.

Features and Accessories

The lid pouch, side pockets, shock cord and bottle opener can be kept, removed or replaced. Options include a front zip pocket, a dry pocket for a phone, a removable divider, daisy-chain hitch points, reflective trim, and a closure change from the airtight zip to a water-resistant zip for a lower price point.

Packaging

Units can be packed in plain polybags for wholesale, or in printed colour boxes with hangtags, barcodes and multilingual labels for retail. Packaging artwork can follow your own brand guidelines.

2. Quotation We confirm feasibility and quote by specification and quantity 1 working day
3. Proof Digital artwork placement proof and colour lab dips 2–3 days
4. Sample Physical sample on the standard pattern, or new tooling for size and structure changes 7–15 days; 20–25 days with tooling
5. Approval You approve the sample, or we revise it —
6. Production Bulk production in China or Vietnam 30–35 days
7. Inspection IQC, IPQC and OQC, airtight leak testing; optional SGS or QIMA Within production time
8. Shipping FOB, or delivery to your forwarder By schedule

MOQ and Pricing

The MOQ is 300 pieces per colour. Unit price depends mainly on quantity, insulation type, fabric, the number and method of logos, liner print and packaging. The largest cost steps are VIP panel insulation, all-over liner printing and new tooling for a different size. If a target price is tight, we can suggest where to save without affecting waterproofing, for example by moving from an airtight zip to a water-resistant zip, or by simplifying the harness.

Quality Control for Custom Orders

Every custom run is checked at IQC, IPQC and OQC against the approved sample. The suite covers load testing to 1,500 cycles, zipper fatigue to 3,000 cycles, tensile and bonding strength on welded seams and harness anchors, seam strength on the sewn harness, logo adhesion, colour fastness and colour difference against the approved Pantone references, and full water-immersion testing. Because the zip is airtight, every unit also goes through our customer inspection procedure — unboxing, vacuum extraction, 24-hour static rest and air-leak determination. Third-party inspection by SGS or QIMA can be arranged at the buyer's cost, and test reports for food contact can be arranged for your target market.

Why Sealock for Custom Coolers

Sealock has manufactured insulated and waterproof gear for over 20 years and produces insulated products for brands including STANLEY, Hydro Flask and CORDOVA. Two factories, in Guangdong, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, give brands a non-China origin option where tariff exposure matters. We hold ISO 9001, BSCI, SMETA, Higg, GRS and SCAN certification.

A backpack cooler needs two processes done well: high-frequency welding for the leakproof body and liner, and sewing for the harness, pockets and padding. Both run in-house, so changes to the body and the harness are developed together rather than across two suppliers. Most demanding requirements can be met, including full ground-up development; complex changes with new tooling add time to the first sample cycle, which is worth planning for early.

FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity for a custom backpack cooler?

300 pieces per colour. Several colours can go on one order, each at 300 pieces.

How much does a custom backpack cooler cost?

It depends on quantity, insulation, fabric, logo methods, liner print and packaging. Send your brief to info@sealock.com.hk and we will quote within one working day.

Can we put our own logo on it?

Yes. Welded or silicone patches, screen print and heat transfer go on the body; woven labels and embroidery go on the harness and pockets. The liner can carry an all-over print.

Can you produce it under our own brand?

Yes. We produce private label coolers with your logo, labels, hangtags and packaging, with no Sealock branding on the product.

How long does a sample take?

7–15 days on the standard pattern with your colours and logo. Changes to size or structure need new tooling and take 20–25 days.

Is there a sample fee?

The sample fee depends on how much of the design changes. We confirm it with the quotation.

What artwork do you need?

Vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) with Pantone references. We return a digital placement proof before sampling.

Can you change the size or design?

Yes. New capacities, a different harness, extra pockets or a full redesign can all be developed. New tooling adds time to the first sample.

Can you supply food-contact test reports?

Yes. Test reports for the liner can be arranged for your target market as part of the order.

What is the production lead time?

30–35 days after sample approval, from either the China or the Vietnam factory.
