Product Description

SL-I075A is a backpack cooler measuring 33 × 24.5 × 51 cm and holding about 22 liters, enough for around 36 standard 330 ml cans without ice. It weighs about 1.9 kg. The shell is TPU-laminated nylon over 20 mm of closed-cell foam, and the food-grade TPU liner is high-frequency welded into a single leakproof tub. The main compartment opens through an airtight waterproof zip. Above it, the lid carries a separate zip pouch for napkins, cutlery or keys. The front panel has criss-cross shock cord for stowing a jacket or towel, below an orange SEALOCK patch, and both sides carry mesh pockets for bottles. The harness has padded shoulder straps, an adjustable sternum strap and a hip belt with a side-release buckle, and a metal bottle opener is fitted to the side. Standard colours are aqua, yellow and blue.

Carrying

A loaded 22 L cooler with ice weighs 12–15 kg, which is too much to carry on the shoulders alone for long. The hip belt moves part of that load onto the hips, and the sternum strap stops the shoulder straps from sliding outward, so the cooler stays tight to the back on beach paths, trails and long walks from the car park. Both buckles release with one hand when the cooler comes off.

Construction and Water Behaviour

The shell, the liner and the harness anchors are high-frequency welded, so there are no stitch holes in the cold compartment or through the outer wall. The harness, mesh pockets and shock cord are sewn onto welded panels rather than through the body. Melt-water stays in the welded liner instead of reaching the foam, so the insulation stays dry and the cooler does not hold odour.

With the airtight zip closed, the main compartment is rated IPX7, verified by full water-immersion test, 2+ hours. It is leakproof in any orientation, so melt-water stays inside if the cooler is laid down or tips over. The lid pouch sits outside the waterproof compartment and is splash-proof only. The cooler is not rated for depth exposure.

Cold Holding

Packed with ice, closed and kept out of direct sun, the cooler holds ice for approximately 36 hours in our trials at 25 °C ambient. Results change with ambient temperature, sun exposure, how often it is opened and whether the contents were chilled before loading. The airtight zip removes the air leak along the closure, and the lid pouch lets small items come out without opening the cold compartment.

Quality Inspection Standards

Every production run is checked at IQC, IPQC and OQC. The suite covers load testing to 1,500 cycles, zipper fatigue to 3,000 cycles, tensile and bonding strength on welded seams and harness anchors, seam strength and bar-tack pull tests on the sewn harness, buckle pull and release testing, colour fastness and colour difference against the approved sample, and full water-immersion testing on finished coolers. Because the zip is airtight, every unit also goes through our customer inspection procedure — unboxing, vacuum extraction, 24-hour static rest and air-leak determination. Third-party inspection by SGS or QIMA can be arranged at the buyer's cost.

Product Highlights

22 L backpack cooler with an airtight zip, IPX7 and leakproof in any orientation. Hip belt and sternum strap that keep a heavy load tight to the back. Welded food-grade liner and 20 mm closed-cell foam, about 36 hours of ice under stated conditions. Lid zip pouch, two side mesh pockets, front shock cord and a fitted bottle opener. Aqua, yellow and blue, MOQ 300 with custom liner prints available.

Printing and Logo

The standard mark is a patch on the front panel; woven patches, welded TPU patches, screen print and heat transfer are all available. The liner can carry an all-over custom pattern printed before welding. Shell, webbing, shock cord and liner colours can be matched to the brand. Logos are placed clear of the shock cord and the zip path. Artwork is required as vector files; a digital placement proof is returned before sampling.

OEM / ODM Capability

Sealock has manufactured insulated and waterproof gear for over 20 years, with factories in Guangdong, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — the second site giving brands a non-China origin option where tariff exposure matters. We hold ISO 9001, BSCI, SMETA, Higg, GRS and SCAN certification, and produce insulated products for brands including STANLEY, Hydro Flask and CORDOVA.

The cooler body is high-frequency welded, while the harness, hip belt and pockets are sewn, and sewn construction is an equally mature in-house capability rather than an outsourced step. A backpack cooler depends on both. Most demanding requirements can be met, from a colourway and liner print to new sizes, a ventilated harness or a full redesign; complex development with new tooling adds time to the first sample cycle, which is worth planning for early.

FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity?

300 pieces per colour.

What does it cost?

Price depends on quantity, insulation, harness options, liner print and logo method. Send your specification to info@sealock.com.hk and we will quote within one working day.

Can we put our own logo on it?

Yes. Woven or welded patches, screen print and heat transfer are available, and the liner can carry an all-over custom print.

Is it leakproof?

Yes. With the airtight zip closed, the main compartment is rated IPX7 and leakproof in any orientation, verified by full water immersion for 2+ hours. The lid pouch is splash-proof only.

How many cans does it hold?

About 36 standard 330 ml cans without ice, or about 24 with ice.

How long does ice last?

Approximately 36 hours in our trials at 25 °C ambient, packed with ice, closed and out of direct sun. Frequent opening and direct sun shorten this.

Is it comfortable to carry when full?

The padded shoulder straps, sternum strap and hip belt share the load between shoulders and hips. For loads above about 15 kg, carry over shorter distances.

What is the pouch on the lid for?

Small items such as napkins, cutlery, keys or a phone, so you can reach them without opening the cold compartment.

How do I look after the airtight zip?

Rinse off salt and sand, lubricate the teeth occasionally with a silicone-based stick, and store the cooler with the zip open.

What is the lead time?

Samples in 7–15 days. Production is 30–35 days after sample approval, from either the China or the Vietnam factory.
