Product Description

SL-I009 is a boat cooler bag measuring about 46 × 28 × 36 cm at the base and holding about 28 liters, enough for around 32 standard 330 ml cans without ice. It weighs about 1.8 kg. The body tapers from a wide base to a narrower opening, which keeps the centre of gravity low when the cooler is full. The shell is white TPU-laminated nylon with curved dark grey base panels, over 20 mm of closed-cell foam and a blue food-grade TPU liner welded into a single tub. All body seams are high-frequency welded. The top closes with an airtight waterproof zip. The front carries two vertical webbing daisy chains with criss-cross shock cord between them for stowing a towel, jacket or sunscreen; the back carries two more daisy chains either side of a flat slip pocket. Black webbing tote handles run over the top, and moulded hook anchors at each end take the detachable padded shoulder strap.

Built for the Boat

The white shell reflects sunlight instead of absorbing it, which matters on an open deck where a dark cooler can heat up quickly, and it matches the gelcoat of most boats. The tapered shape gives a wide, flat footprint that resists tipping when the boat rolls or the cooler sits on sand. The daisy chains on both faces take carabiners or lashing straps for tying the cooler to a rail, a T-top or deck fittings, and the shock cord holds a wet towel or a rain layer on the outside.

Construction and Water Behaviour

The shell, liner and all attachment patches are high-frequency welded, so there are no stitch holes in the cold compartment or through the outer wall. The daisy chains, shock cord and slip pocket are fixed to welded panels, never through the body. Melt-water stays in the welded liner instead of reaching the foam, so the insulation stays dry and the cooler does not hold odour from bait or fish.

With the airtight zip closed, the cooler is rated IPX7, verified by full water-immersion test, 2+ hours. It is leakproof in any orientation, so melt-water stays in if the cooler slides over in a swell, and spray and rain stay out. It is not rated for depth exposure.

Cold Holding

Packed with ice, closed and kept out of direct sun, the cooler holds ice for approximately 36 hours in our trials at 25 °C ambient. The airtight zip removes the air leak along the closure, and the white shell reduces heat gain when the cooler sits in the sun. Results change with ambient temperature, sun exposure, how often it is opened and whether the contents were chilled before loading.

Quality Inspection Standards

Every production run is checked at IQC, IPQC and OQC. The suite covers load testing to 1,500 cycles, zipper fatigue to 3,000 cycles, tensile and bonding strength on welded seams and attachment patches, salt-spray on metal snap hooks, abrasion on the base panels, colour fastness and colour difference against the approved sample, and full water-immersion testing on finished coolers. Because the zip is airtight, every unit also goes through our customer inspection procedure — unboxing, vacuum extraction, 24-hour static rest and air-leak determination. Third-party inspection by SGS or QIMA can be arranged at the buyer's cost.

Product Highlights

White shell that reflects sunlight on an open deck. Tapered body with a wide base that resists tipping. Airtight zip and welded food-grade liner, IPX7 and leakproof in any orientation. Four daisy chains for lashing to rails and deck fittings, front shock cord and rear slip pocket. Tote handles and detachable padded shoulder strap. MOQ 300 with Pantone matching and marine accessories available.

Printing and Logo

Screen printing suits solid one- to three-colour marks on the white shell and resists UV and salt. Heat transfer handles multi-colour artwork. Welded TPU patches and raised silicone prints give a tonal, textured mark. Logos are placed between the daisy chains or on the grey base panels, clear of the shock cord. Artwork is required as vector files; a digital placement proof is returned before sampling.

OEM / ODM Capability

Sealock has manufactured insulated and waterproof gear for over 20 years, with factories in Guangdong, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — the second site giving brands a non-China origin option where tariff exposure matters. We hold ISO 9001, BSCI, SMETA, Higg, GRS and SCAN certification, and produce for marine and insulated-product brands including West Marine, attwood, STANLEY and CORDOVA.

The cooler body is high-frequency welded, while the daisy chains, handles and shoulder pad are sewn to welded panels, and sewn construction is an equally mature in-house capability rather than an outsourced step. Most demanding requirements can be met, from a colour and logo change to marine fittings, new sizes or a full redesign; complex development with new tooling adds time to the first sample cycle, which is worth planning for early.

FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity?

300 pieces per colour.

What does it cost?

Price depends on quantity, insulation, accessories and logo method. Send your specification to info@sealock.com.hk and we will quote within one working day.

Can we put our own logo on it?

Yes. Screen print, heat transfer, welded patches and raised silicone prints are all available, with Pantone matching on shell, base panels, liner and webbing.

Is it leakproof?

Yes. With the airtight zip closed, it is rated IPX7 and leakproof in any orientation, verified by full water immersion for 2+ hours.

Why is it white?

A white shell reflects sunlight and absorbs less heat on an open deck, which helps the ice last longer. It also matches most boats. Other colours are available.

How many cans does it hold?

About 32 standard 330 ml cans without ice, or about 22 with ice.

How long does ice last?

Approximately 36 hours in our trials at 25 °C ambient, packed with ice, closed and out of direct sun.

Can it be tied down on a boat?

Yes. The four daisy chains take carabiners or lashing straps for securing the cooler to rails, a T-top or deck fittings.

How do I look after the airtight zip?

Rinse off salt and sand after every trip, lubricate the teeth occasionally with a silicone-based stick, and store the cooler with the zip open.

What is the lead time?

Samples in 7–15 days. Production is 30–35 days after sample approval, from either the China or the Vietnam factory.
